SMART DPK and Microsoft bring together tech refurbishers for global forum
Attract & Engage support SMART DPK and Microsoft for a flagship webinar forum. Hosted by Jill Willis and bringing together partners involved in refurbishing, purchasing, or selling Windows devices across the globe, the event shared expert insights from Microsoft on antipiracy and licensing compliance.
The webinar forum featured a lineup of brilliant speakers, Sanja Timotijevic (EMEA Anti-Piracy Lead for Microsoft), Jakob Haido (Senior Partner Development Manager at Microsoft), and Ben Daniels (Technical Account Manager for SMART/FOXWAY).
The 1-hour session saw the group explain the pitfalls of counterfeit Windows keys and the right way to license second-hand devices. The session’s opening saw Jill address the different levels of experience amongst the audience of Microsoft Authorized Refurbishers (MARs), Third Party Refurbishers (TPRs), and firms involved in the second-hand device market.
We then welcomed Sanja, Jakob and Ben to the stage to share insight into software piracy trends across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, data from Gartner on used Windows PCs, and the process of legitimate Windows installation, driver management, and license compliance.
To close the forum, Jill welcomed the audience to take part in a Q&A where refurbishers were able to pose questions to the panel on avoiding common pitfalls in refurbished PC licensing.
The webinar forms part of an ambitious content programme, designed to show refurbishers an easy way to become a Registered Microsoft Refurbisher and inject legitimate Windows keys effortlessly.
