Celebrating Essex’s Top 100 – turning authority into attention with a video & podcast series for Grant Thornton & Birketts.
Grant Thornton LLP and Birketts LLP have championed Essex’s most successful privately owned businesses for 14 years through The Essex Limited Report, celebrating the county’s Top 100 and Fast Growth 50 firms and their contribution to the regional and wider economy.
The challenge was to build awareness beyond the report’s existing audience and further assert its position as Essex’s business growth authority – in a format that busy leaders would actually engage with and share.
Attract & Engage conceived and delivered Stories of Essex Ltd, an owned-content campaign designed to put Grant Thornton and Birketts at the heart of the region’s entrepreneurial landscape. We built a content platform spanning a YouTube interview series and companion podcast episodes for Spotify, supported by a suite of social-first assets to drive reach and engagement.
Following extensive research, we created an initial list of 30 potential contributors, identified four standout business figures, and secured their involvement through direct outreach and careful stakeholder management. The final result was a five-part series, combining expert commentary and interviews that celebrated Essex success stories while naturally anchoring back to the Essex Limited Report.
The campaign launched through LinkedIn organic, using cutdowns, quotes and episode drops to boost visibility, spark conversation and encourage deeper engagement with the report. The result: a modern, repeatable owned-content engine that strengthens reputation, grows reach and keeps Grant Thornton and Birketts front of mind with startups and established enterprises alike.
