We have been providing marketing support to The Vanilla Room, one of the UK’s leading independent hair salons, since 2010. After discussing their goal of increasing the number of new clients, we suggested creating a paid social media advertising campaign around their Holiday Hair promotion.
Social media paid advertising is a great cost-effective tool for marketing, allowing businesses to connect and engage potential customers within a matter of seconds. However, a strong media strategy is needed to get the most out of your money and that’s where we come in.
The award-winning salon wanted to grow its customer base, with the idea of paid social ads across both Facebook and Instagram. After a consultation to discuss the target audience, budget and vision of the ads, Attract & Engage got to work. We began by designing bespoke artwork, understanding the importance of a strong, eye-catching visual to gain the attention of a scroller.
Posting a new ad every week, we could tailor each individual one, a mixture of carousel templates or boosting ads to gain insight into which ones performed the best. We utilised this data to inform the next set of ads, tracking these results and keeping the client informed every step of the way.
To ensure the promotion reached as wide an audience as possible, we also updated the client’s website and assisted in the production of two print posters for the salon windows. This meant we were advertising not only to internet users but also to any passer-by.
Our campaign resulted in great success for the highly recognised hair salon, driving 5x return on marketing investment. From this, the client has seen returning customers which has an ever-increasing lifetime value. These results highlight how we correctly targeted the desired audience for our client. It was a real treat to get involved with this B2C triumph, producing a positive result for our happy client.
