When you’re a sole trader or small business owner it’s not easy to dedicate hour on end to social media.
And you know what, I’ll let you in on a secret. It’s not the be all and end all.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE MASTER OF FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, UTUBE, PINTEREST etc. to succeed. There I said it.
In fact, ask any small business owner where the bulk of their new business comes from and they’ll say referrals, recommendations and personal contacts.
Richard Branson agrees too – "Business is all about personal contact. No matter how heavy your workload is… everyone can and should be a networker."
Does that mean you should ditch social media completely? No. But you should ditch the guilt associated with it.
Pick one. Decide how you’ll use it. Decide how you’ll measure success. And go for it.
Scrap the rest. Focus, and start to see some benefits.
